Former Georgia all-SEC defensive end Charles Johnson, a longtime Carolina Panther who recently announced his retirement from the NFL, can now shift his focus to becoming UGA’s No. 1 fan.
Johnson, a native of Hawksinville, Ga., often expresses his love for UGA on his social media pages, recently stating he will be “betting big money on them Dawgs this year.”
Now, it appears Johnson has high expectations for Georgia junior wide receiver Riley Ridley, who caught 5 catches for 87 yards and 1 touchdown on Saturday in UGA’s 43-29 win over Missouri.
During Ridley’s stellar performance, Johnson tweeted a bold prediction, claiming the Coconut Creek, Florida native will be the next AJ Green at Georgia.
