Former Georgia center David Andrews wins Patriots starting job

Entering only his second NFL season, former Georgia center David Andrews appears to have won the starting job at the position with the New England Patriots.

Because the Patriots traded Bryan Stork to the Washington Redskins in a sudden move Wednesday, Andrews, a second-year player who signed with the team as an undrafted free agent in 2015, will likely start this season.

The Boston Herald reported that Andrews was Patriots quarterback Tom Brady’s preferred choice at center.

NFL Media insider Ian Rapoport first reported the Stork trade before adding that it was for a conditional draft pick.
