Growing up in Wisconsin, hating the cold, it became my life’s ambition at 12-years-old to live in Florida. I made my dream come true in 2012, accepting a job in Jacksonville and moving to Amelia Island.
More than the sun or the sand, what I was most looking forward to about my new home was attending the Florida-Georgia game. I had seen plenty of big rivalry games before, but never this one.
I was at the 1993 Iron Bowl – Alabama’s second ever trip to Jordan-Hare Stadium – a 22-14 Auburn win which put an exclamation point on an undefeated season.
