Former Georgia running back Keith Marshall was injured during the Washington Redskins’ preseason game Friday night against the Buffalo Bills.
Marshall, a rookie and a seventh-round pick in April’s NFL Draft, left the game after awkwardly landing and injuring his left elbow on his first carry of the game.
The injury was diagnosed as a sprain and he received an X-ray on it in the Redskins’ locker room during the game. He later returned to the team’s sideline but did not play again.
After the game, Redskins coach Jay Gruden said Marshall would receive an MRI on the injured elbow Saturday.
