Former Georgia quarterback Greyson Lambert has signed a minor league deal with the Texas Rangers, he announced Saturday on Instagram.
“Blessed and thankful for the opportunity!” Lambert wrote. “… Extremely excited to see what God has in store. #Rangers”
Lambert geotagged his location as Surprise, Arizona, the spring training home of the Rangers, in his Instagram post.
The Dallas Morning News first reported that Lambert signed with the team on Friday.
Lambert, who spent the past two seasons with the Bulldogs after playing for three seasons at Virginia, will play as a pitcher.
