If the unbeaten Georgia Bulldogs can defeat Florida in Jacksonville next Saturday, the emotions of Bulldogs fans might be as amped up as they were on October 28, 2007, after a 42-30 Georgia win. That game was marked by a team celebration on the field after the first touchdown and by Knowshon Moreno carrying the day, rushing for 188 yards and three touchdowns on 33 carries.
That’s just Knowshon Moreno, though — always carrying his team on his back, from grade school all the way through the NFL.
If not for knee and elbow injuries, he likely still would be playing professionally today, but a six-year career, in which he rushed for 3,616 yards and 27 TDs after being drafted 12th overall by the Denver Broncos in the 2009 NFL draft, will have to suffice.
