Former Georgia running back Sony Michel, the 31st pick in the 2018 NFL Draft, got his career off to a hot start with New England last year.
The rookie back appeared in 13 games with seven starts and rushed 209 times for 931 yards and six touchdowns. In the playoffs, however, is where America really began to take notice. In three games, including the Super Bowl, Michel ran 71 times for 336 yards and six touchdowns. He set the rookie record for most rushing touchdowns in the postseason.
In Super Bowl LIII, in which the Patriots beat Todd Gurley and the Rams 13-3, Michel had 94 yards and one touchdown on 18 carries.
