Elijah Holyfield signs with Carolina Panthers

After going undrafted in the 2019 NFL Draft, former UGA running back Elijah Holyfield signed with the Carolina Panthers just minutes after the conclusion of the draft.

The son of boxing great Evander Holyfield, Elijah played three seasons with the Dawgs and had a career high seven touchdowns and 6.5 yards per carry this past season. He was known as more of a power runner for UGA and will likely fill a similar role in the NFL.

Holyfield adds depth to a Carolina team who’s backfield currently centers around Christian McCaffrey. UGA fans certainly wish him the best with the Panthers.
