Dismissed UGA Baseball Player Adam Sasser Apologizes, Says He And Justin Fields Spoke

Unfortunately, one of this week’s biggest stories was that relating to Georgia baseball first baseman Adam Sasser, who was accused of shouting racial slurs directed at UGA quarterback Justin Fields during the Bulldogs’ game on Saturday against Tennessee.

Sasser, a star player on last year’s NCAA Tournament team, was accused of shouting the “N-word” towards freshman UGA quarterback Fields late in the game.

On Tuesday, the University announced Sasser had been dismissed from the baseball program following an investigation by the school.

Shortly after the news of Sasser’s dismissal, the senior out of Evans, Georgia posted a statement on Twitter, apologizing for his actions.
