Freshman defensive back Chad Clay reportedly is transferring to Butler Community College in Kansas after being dismissed from Georgia last month. Clay enrolled at Georgia in January, but was dismissed after his second arrest.
Clay and freshman defensive lineman Julian Rochester were arrested for an incident involving a BB gun in April. Clay was arrested again in June, for theft. Clay reportedly stole Apple earbuds left unattended at the Ramsey Student Center on UGA’s campus.
Clay was a three-star prospect out of Suwannee (Ga.) Peachtree Ridge, in the Atlanta suburbs. He was the second player dismissed by Kirby Smart.
