Georgia defeated No. 2 South Carolina 5-3 on Sunday at Foley Field, clinching a series win over the Gamecocks.
Skyler Weber, Mitchell Webb, Daniel Nichols and Stephen Wrenn all blasted solo home runs. Nichols’ homer came in the bottom of the eighth inning with the score tied at three. He jumped on a hanging pitch and sent it halfway up the hill in right field to give Georgia (20-17, 6-9 Southeastern Conference) a 4-3 advantage.
