The Georgia baseball team played arguably its best game of the season Saturday, upending Alabama 12-4 to win this weekend’s series.
Georgia (17-12, 4-5 Southeastern Conference) used superb hitting and strong pitching to clinch the series win over the Crimson Tide (16-11, 5-4 SEC). For the first time since a 12-2 win over Stetson in 2010, each of the hitters in the Diamond Dogs’ starting lineup recorded at least one hit and one run scored.
It was also the first time all year that every starter notched at least one hit. Stephen Wrenn got Georgia rolling with a leadoff home run in the first inning.
