After getting shut out in their last two games at Florida last weekend, the Diamond Dogs were in need of a shot in the arm.
They got it Tuesday night, defeating No. 25 Georgia Tech 13-5 at Foley Field. Georgia (22-20) got its offense rolling early and often against the Yellow Jackets (27-14).
The Diamond Dogs scored at least one run in each of the first three innings, highlighted by a six-run surge in the third frame. Georgia hasn’t scored many runs in the early stages of many of its games recently. Keegan McGovern said it was a nice change of pace.
