Deandre Baker, the winner of the 2018 Jim Thrope Award and top cornerback in college football is officially done playing at Georgia.
A senior out of Miami, Florida, Baker is projected to be a Top 15 pick in this year’s NFL Draft. The Bulldogs’ star defender did not allow a touchdown completion in his junior or senior season on the team.
Baker came into Athens as a 3-star recruit but quickly proved his doubters wrong. Though he did sit out for the Allstate Sugar Bowl, Baker could have left the team before his senior season at Georgia.
