After being passed over by a handful of teams who could use a good corner, Deandre Baker has found his NFL home in Gotham.
The Giants made Baker the 30th pick in the first round of the draft. He’s the first Georgia Bulldog off the board.
At 5’11, 193 pounds Baker is a compact, physical corner. While he lacks elite length and blazing straight line speed, Baker makes up for it with excellent change of direction, fantastic ball skills, and an ability to bump and bang with even much bigger receivers.
Baker famously didn’t give up a single touchdown during his junior and senior season’s at Georgia.
