In a recent interview with NorthJersey.com and USA TODAY Network, former UGA cornerback Deandre Baker, now a New York Giant, discussed a range of topics that led him to this point.
“I’m going to work,” Baker said. “And my work is going to talk for me. When you set out to perfect your craft, there’s always something to get better at, and I want to earn the right to be considered one of the best.”
The article highlighted Baker’s upbringing, from a rough Miami neighborhood.
“Where I come from in Miami, Liberty City, rough neighborhood, violence, the whole nine yards, and I’d say my high school is the toughest around,” said Baker.
