Some recent commitments, one to the Dawgs, one to a perennial CFP Championship contender and cross-division rival, and one to an SEC East division rival, have helped to clear things up in the 2022 wide receiver landscape for the University of Georgia. The Dawgs were able to secure the commitment of arguably their top overall wide receiver target in Denylon Morrissette from Kennesaw on April 30th. May 3rd rolled around and the Alabama Crimson tide grabbed Jameson Williams out of the transfer portal from Ohio State. The Dawgs definitely had interest in bring in Williams, but it appears that this was never more than a fringe conversation.
