Coach Taylor’s ‘Dawgs, fresh off a double digit slaying of the Drexel Dragons, are set to tip off this afternoon against the Oregon Ducks with a shot at UGA’s first Sweet Sixteen bid since 2013.
Georgia downed Drexel on Monday by a score of 67-53, behind a brutally efficient 19 point effort from post player Jenn Staiti. Oregon got past South Dakota 67-47 on Monday behind 6’2 forward Erin Boley’s 22 point effort. The Ducks also played stifling defense, holding the Coyotes to one point during a stretch beginning in the first quarter and ending just after the second half tip.
