Dawgs pay Ludacris $65K for 15-minute show

Kirby Smart wanted to give fans every reason to fill Sanford Stadium for his first spring game as Georgia's football coach, and he paid the price to do so. The total bill to bring hip-hop star Ludacris to Athens: $65,000.

Originally, Georgia believed it would have to go without a musical act at G-Day, but it was able to sign a contract with Ludacris two days prior to Saturday's event. The contract, obtained by the Macon Telegraph, included a rider -- standard in most performance contracts -- covering food, towels, Fruit Roll-Ups, toothpaste, batteries, liquor and a box of condoms.
