Georgia sophomore running back D’Andre Swift is poised to put up some big numbers this season.
After a stellar freshman season that saw Swift, a third stringer, go for 618 rushing yards and 153 receiving yards, he is set to be the primary back in Athens. With Nick Chubb and Sony Michel gone, a majority of the carries will go to Swift, and many are expecting the Philadelphia native to be a household name.
Former Arkansas and Ole Miss head coach Houston Nutt took it one step further while on CBS Sports Network’s “Inside College Football,” saying he expects Swift to finish the season as a top-3 Heisman candidate.
