Sunday, the Georgia Bulldogs decided they wanted to go a new route with their football program, announcing they had fired Mark Richt as the head coach following 15 seasons with the school. It had widely been suspected that a change would be made in the offseason, but after four straight wins to end the regular season with a 9-3 record, the move still came as a surprise to some.
For one of the defensive leaders on this year’s team, the move was met with anger:
“It ain’t right. Ain’t no Georgia football without coach Richt,” senior linebacker Jordan Jenkins said.
