It looks like Georgia has again gone to the Tarheel State for a tight end commitment. 247Sports and Rivals are each reporting that Wilmington (New Hanover H.S.) recruit Garrett Walston has picked the Bulldogs over offers from the likes of North Carolina, NC State, Boston College, Virginia Tech, and Cal. Walston had been set to announce his decision in late May, likely from between the instate Wolfpack and Tarheels, but postponed that decision at the last moment, took a recent visit to UGA, and seems to have seen all that he needed of the Classic City.
Speaking of seeing what one needs to see, the 6’4, 220 pound standout is ranked 3 stars by 247Sports, which slots him as only the 17th best tight end in the country.
