Georgia Bulldogs defensive back Derion Kendrick is projected to start as the No. 1 cornerback in Dan Lanning’s defensive scheme this season. Kendrick transferred to Georgia from Clemson this offseason and will face his former team to open the season.
Kendrick was dismissed from Clemson early in spring practice after three years with the Tigers. News came out that Kendrick had been arrested, but those charges were dropped after he landed with the Bulldogs.
It’s sure to be an odd feeling not just for Kendrick, who will be playing his former teammates, but for the Clemson coaches to go up against their former defensive back.
