Georgia running back Nick Chubb was named to the preseason AP All-America second team.
Chubb, entering his senior season, is second all-time in Georgia program history in rushing yards. His 3,424 career yards trail only Herschel Walker's 5,259, which was set from 1980-82. Walker's mark is also the SEC career rushing record.
Chubb ran for 1,130 yards and eight touchdowns as a junior. He became a star as a freshman, running for 1,547 yards and 14 touchdowns in 2014. He was on pace for a monster sophomore season before suffering a significant knee injury against Tennessee.
His sophomore season concluded with 747 yards and seven touchdowns in five full games and one play in a sixth.
