The player I’m going to be keeping the closest eye on in the 2019 G-Day game is cornerback Tyson Campbell. Campbell was a five-star recruit, who got a lot of playing time his freshman season. Campbell played alright when he was on the field last season.
The number one issue Campbell struggled with in 2018 was locating the football and making a play on the ball. Opposing wideout struggled to get separation vs. Campbell, but when quarterbacks targeted him he was frequently penalized. Campbell and Eric Stoke will be competing for the number one cornerback job. They are trying to fill the void Deandre Baker left.
