Bulldog Legend Bill Stanfill dead at 69.

Sad news struck Georgia Bulldog fans this evening with word that UGA legend Bill Stanfill has passed away in hospice care in Albany. He was 69.

A consensus All-American in 1968 and member of the College Football Hall of Fame, Stanfill won the Outland Trophy as the nation’s best interior lineman during his senior year. He was an All-SEC selection in each of his three years of varsity competition for Coach Vince Dooley, and was a part of two SEC Championship teams.

Stanfill later played 8 seasons for the Miami Dolphins, earning 4 trips to the Pro Bowl.
