Georgia true freshman quarterback Jacob Eason stands to benefit as much or more than any other Bulldogs player ahead of the team’s upcoming bowl game, coach Kirby Smart said Monday.
As Georgia coach Kirby Smart noted during the Liberty Bowl introductory news conference in Memphis, Tennessee, the extra game means additional practice time for the young quarterback.
“Every rep he gets, every mental rep he gets, every walk-through rep he gets, every live rep, seven-on-seven rep — he needs as many as he can get,” Smart said. “Seeing coverages, seeing multiples, seeing different pressures. I think it’s really important for his growth.
