How many times over the past two weeks have you heard Brock Bowers been labeled Carson Beck’s safety blanket? For me, it feels as if it has been said a thousand times. There is no questioning that Georgia would go to the best player in the Country on critical downs, and there was certainly reason to question whether the offensive structure will change when Bowers was ruled out for numerous weeks, but the skepticism has felt far more like criticism.
Carson Beck has done nothing but play exceptional football so far in 2023. While Bulldog fans expressed frustration through slow offensive starts during the first half of the season, Beck still managed to put up great numbers, particularly on clutch downs and in meaningful minutes.
