University of Georgia catcher/designated hitter Corey Collins and pitcher Jaden Woods have been named to the Freshman All-Southeastern Conference Team, the league announced Monday.
Collins, a 6-3, 234-pound product of North Gwinnett High School, is batting .276 with seven home runs and a team-leading 35 RBI. He has played in 50 games including 49 starts. Collins has a team-high nine multiple-RBI games. Earlier this season, he earned SEC Freshman of the Week honors.
Woods, a 6-2, 193-pound lefthander out of Houston County High School, has made 16 appearances including four starts. He is 3-1 with a 4.
