McClendon will be wearing the garnet and black of South Carolina as a first-year wide receivers coach and co-offensive coordinator instead of the red and black of Georgia.
McClendon, the son of former Georgia running back Willie McClendon, played wide receiver for the Bulldogs from 2001-05, was a graduate assistant from 2007-08, running backs coach from 2009-14 and wide recivers coach in 2015 before stepping up as interim head coach after Mark Richt was fired for Georgia’s bowl game.
