Georgia true freshmen Julian Rochester and Chad Clay had only been on campus for a couple of months this spring and had a run in with authority. The defensive lineman and defensive back were arrested for felony possession of a weapon (BB gun) and criminal damage to property.
According to the players attorney, Kim Stephens, a legal resolution could be coming soon. He tells Jason Butt of the Macon Telegraph that they could find out, “very soon.”
Stephens believes that the players will enter a pre-trial diversionary program. This would mean that they would likely be required to complete community service, pay a fine and stay out of trouble for a set period of time.
