Travis Jones, a former Georgia football captain in 1994, has signed on to be an Atlanta Falcons assistant defensive line coach. Jones previously coached the Seattle Seahawks defensive line (2013-2018) and brings 20+ years of experience to the Falcons, which started out in Athens.
Some of you may remember that Jones played defensive lineman for Georgia in its 1994 season, where the Bulldogs finished with a 6-4-1 record.
After graduating from Georgia, Jones gave both the Canadian Football League and the Arena Football League a shot. He then entered the coaching ranks, making stops at Appalachian State and Kansas.
