Alabama doesn’t appear likely to move from its stance of blocking defensive back Maurice Smith from transferring to Georgia after he graduates on Saturday.

The school put out a statement on Thursday explaining its reasoning and drawing a distinction between Smith’s case and that of wide receiver Chris Black who is at Missouri after going there as a graduate transfer.
