With 78 days until Georgia football kicks off its 2019 campaign against the Vanderbilt Commodores, let’s take a look back at former No. 1 overall recruit and three-year UGA defensive tackle Trenton Thompson.
Thompson came to Georgia as the premier signee in the Bulldogs’ 2015 recruiting class. Out of Westover High School in Albany, Georgia, Thompson ranked No. 1 overall in the nation and played a big role in helping Georgia land a number of elite prospects.
Thompson had a solid career at Georgia, but left fans wanting a bit more from the big lineman. His freshman season left a bit to be desired, however, he stepped his game up during his sophomore and junior year of college.
