Four-star offensive tackle and Georgia commit Luke Griffin left his Friday night high school football game in an ambulance after losing consciousness for several minutes.
The injury, which was later ruled as a concussion according to The (Dalton, Ga.) Daily Citizen’s Chris Hillyard, was serious enough that it forced a stoppage in the game as Griffin laid unconscious on the field. He reportedly “didn’t open his eyes for 15 minutes after losing consciousness.”
After the game, though, Hillyard reported that Griffin was alert and “feeling a lot better.”
Griffin was making a tackle in the fourth quarter when the injury occurred.
