The Georgia Bulldogs turned the first-ever Early Signing Day on Wednesday into a banner day for the program, securing the No. 1 overall recruiting class in the country. However, recruiting the 2018 class isn't done with traditional signing day on Feb. 7 still looming. As such, here are all the latest Georgia recruiting news & rumors you need to know:

Ford is also considering Alabama, Auburn, and Oklahoma, but the Bulldogs are considered to be the favorite to land him.
The 6-foot-6, 248-pounder is ranked as the No. 2 tight end and No. 49 overall prospect in the country.
One 2018 prospect already practicing with team
Devonte Wyatt, a four-star defensive tackle from Hutchinson Community College, enrolled at Georgia yesterday and is already practicing with the team, according to head coach Kirby Smart.
Wyatt had previously committed to Georgia in the 2017 class but didn't qualify academically to enroll, which led to him choosing the JUCO route. He is ranked as the No. 10 JUCO prospect in the country.

How Georgia signed two players without a position coach
The Bulldogs managed to sign a number of prospects despite not having a coach in place at the position on the defensive staff, and Rusty Mansell of Dawgs247 explains how that happens.
How about UGA signing Adam Anderson and Brenton Cox without a position coach? Mel Tucker was heavily involved there and selling them “don’t worry”, is what Anderson told me yesterday in Atlanta. That is confidence in a program.
