With all the turmoil surrounding the USC Trojans football program, the Georgia Bulldogs decided it was time to pounce on the opportunity to work their way back in with four-star RB Stephen Carr (Fontana, CA).
According to Kipp Adams of 247sports, Georgia has offered Carr a scholarship:
The Trojans commitment has been on Georgia's radar for awhile now and has rushed 61 times for 821 yards and 10 touchdowns this season, with 19 pass receptions for 191 yards. Regardless of the situation at USC, the 6-foot, 195-pound prospect was expected to be a priority for Thomas Brown.
This is the first SEC offer for the No. 3 running back in the 247Sports Composite, and he is well aware of the recent success the Bulldogs have had at his position, considering their tradition "amazing" at running back.
As of now, Carr is solid in his commitment with USC, but if he decides to make any changes, Georgia is positioned to have a very solid shot. Carr sees Georgia as a great opportunity if anything were to happen with his status with USC.
Carr is ranked as the No. 3 running back and No. 35 overall prospect in the class of 2017.
