Five-star offensive guard Jamaree Salyer (Atlanta, GA) announced on Wednesday that he has committed to Georgia over Clemson and Florida.
"Things changed with Georgia and me when Kirby Smart came in and hired coach [Sam] Pittman," said Salyer. "I just connected with the new staff better than the old staff — especially the offensive line coach.
"Coach Pittman is a great coach and a great man. He has a great personality, he is a great teacher and we have really connected."
Salyer took official visits to both Georgia and Florida each of the last two weekends but ultimately chose to stay in state. The Bulldogs have now signed three of the top four players in Georgia in the 2018 class.
Salyer is the top-ranked offensive guard and No. 10 overall prospect in the country, according to the 247sports Composite.
