The Georgia Bulldogs (9-3) will play Louisville (9-3) in the Belk Bowl, according to ESPN's Brett McMurphy.
The game is scheduled for Tuesday, Dec. 30 at 6:30 PM Eastern, and will be played at the Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, NC. This will be the first ever meeting between these two teams.
This assignment comes as something of a surprise for Georgia, which was expected to land in the Peach, Cotton, or Outback bowl this year.
Louisville might also be slightly disappointed with the bowl selection (they were aiming for the TaxSlayer or the Sun Bowl) but they can't be disappointed with a shot at a highly-regarded SEC opponent.
