One of the key commitments of the Georgia Bulldogs' 2015 recruiting class, four-star Norcross (GA) Greater Atlanta Christian School wide receiver Darius Slayton was assumed to be a virtual lock to come to Athens after committing to the program in mid-December.
While that hasn't changed in all likelihood, 247Sports' Rusty Mansell is reporting that Slayton was at least considering a visit to Auburn this weekend:
I was told on Friday afternoon that Darius Slayton “could” be taking a visit to Auburn this weekend. It was not confirmed at the time so I waited to see if he would show up. Auburn is trying to make a late push here and they told him he would have a spot as a WR in this class should he flip. Right now am I hearing NOTHING to suggest he is considering that. Obviously he is taking a visit so he is at least checking Auburn back at. Right now I would be VERY surprised if Slayton does not sign with the Dawgs.
The 6-1, 182-pounder holds offers from 20 schools, but whittled down his decision between UGA, Tennessee, and Auburn before giving a verbal to the Dawgs on December 4th.
