4-Star Class of 2018 point guard and Arlington, Va. native Xavier Johnson has committed to Nebraska over Georgetown.
Johnson averaged 10.5 points, 4.2 rebounds and 3.4 assists last season at Bishop O’Connell High in the D.C.-area Catholic League. During summer AAU play, he led local power Team Takeover to a title over the Oakland Soldiers.
The failed recruitment of local product Johnson raises more question marks about Georgetown’s local recruiting ability, especially with regard to point guards.
If you lose a local kid to Nebraska (gross) to a coach on thin ice just because you weren't proactive.
