WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team used an 11-2 run over the third and fourth quarters, en route to a 63-53 win over Providence College on Tuesday night in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at McDonough Arena.
With the win, the Hoyas improved to 9-5 overall and 2-2 in the BIG EAST, while the Friars fell to 4-10 and 0-4 in conference play. Georgetown has now won 12-consecutive home games against the Friars, dating back to the 1996-97 season.
“This league is a grind,” Georgetown Head Coach Natasha Adair said. “Our kids right now are so focused and so dialed in.
