WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team opened a double-digit lead midway through the third quarter and never looked back, cruising to a 49-35 win over Butler University in a BIG EAST Conference matchup at McDonough Arena on Friday. The 35 points allowed are a season low for the Blue & Gray.
With the win, the Hoyas improved to 15-12 overall and 8-9 in the BIG EAST, while the Bulldogs fell to 9-19 and 4-13 in conference play.
Dominique Vitalis (Bloomfield, N.J./Gill St. Bernad’s) had her second double-double of the season, finishing with 12 points and 10 rebounds.
