WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women's basketball team will open the 2017-18 season on Tuesday evening, hosting the Howard University Bison at 7 p.m., at McDonough Arena. The Hoyas are coming off of a season where the squad had its second-consecutive WNIT berth.
Tuesday marks the first game of the James Howard era as he was named the 10th head coach in Georgetown women's basketball history in June 2017. He was promoted after serving as the associate head coach for two seasons. Howard returned to the Hilltop after being an assistant coach for the Blue & Gray during the 1997-98 season.
