WASHINGTON - Georgetown Women's Basketball Head Coach James Howard and his staff held a coaching clinic for area high school and AAU coaches last Saturday at the Thompson Athletic Center. Topics included the motion offense, player development drills, the 2-3 zone defense, and a ball screen and pick-and-roll defense.
It was also an opportunity for local coaches to familiarize themselves with Howard, his staff and Georgetown’s style of play. While basketball was the agenda and he talked about the motion offense, Howard was able to speak on his coaching philosophy which includes family, interaction, focus and possibility.
