WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team held its annual banquet on Thursday evening in Nolan Hall at the Thompson Center. The event included players, coaches, staff, parents and donors as the accomplishments of the 2016-17 squad were recognized.
Following dinner, Head Coach Natasha Adair gave her remarks and announced the team award winners. Senior forward Faith Woodard (Brandon, Fla./Freedom) won the Academic Award for her efforts in the classroom. The English major had one of the highest GPA’s on the squad and also had an internship at USA Today this year as she prepares for life away from the Hilltop.
