WASHINGTON - The Georgetown University women’s basketball team has earned a berth in the Women’s National Invitation Tournament (WNIT) and will play at Rutgers in Piscataway, N.J. on Thursday. Game time will be announced on Tuesday. GU is currently 16-13 on the season and finished with a 9-9 record in the BIG EAST, earning the No. 5 seed at the 2016 BIG EAST Women’s Basketball Tournament.
“I am very excited for our players, coaches and the program,” Head Coach Natasha Adair said. “It is a great feeling to be preparing for the postseason. Our players, especially our seniors, get to leave their legacy.
