FLORENCE, Italy - The Georgetown women’s basketball team mounted two big comebacks, but couldn’t hold on falling, 53-48, to the Cameroon National Team on Monday in Florence, Italy. The game was the first of three that the Blue & Gray will play over its 10-day tour through Italy and France.
Senior guard Logan Battle (Springfield, Va./West Springfield) led the way with 10 points, while junior guard Faith Woodard (Brandon, Fla./Freedom) added eight. Both players tied for the lead in rebounds with six apiece. Sophomore DiDi Burton (Baltimore, Md./Baltimore City College Prep) was key at the point with seven points, four assists and one steal.
