WASHINGTON – The Georgetown Athletics Department has selected a court design submitted by Kevin Rieffel (C’06) from Philadelphia, Pa., as the winner of the Hoyas Court Design Contest.
A former member of the Georgetown swimming & diving team, Rieffel’s submission beat out more than 150 court designs received during the month-long contest.
“We received many great submissions for the contest and were really overwhelmed by the response from our fans,” Head Men’s Basketball Coach John Thompson III said. “After reviewing all of the submissions with our selection committee – which included Director of Intercollegiate Athletics Lee Reed, Associate Athletics Director Brian McGuire and Associate Athletics Director Dan O’Neil – we chose Kevin’s design and are really excited to see it on the floor next season.
