WASHINGTON - Georgetown University women's basketball freshman guard Dionna White (Baltimore, Md./Milford Mill) was named the BIG EAST Freshman of the Week on Monday after leading Georgetown to a 57-51 win over Villanova on Sunday. Additionally, sophomore guard Dorothy Adomako (Midlothian, Va./Cosby) earned a spot on the BIG EAST Weekly Honor Roll.
White notched her first career double-double in Georgetown’s upset win over Villanova, which entered the contest as winners of four straight and receiving votes in both national polls. White totaled game highs of 20 points and 11 rebounds while adding a pair of assists in the road win.
